考評局已經公佈了 2008 年會考 CIT 的個人習作了!

Module A (Algorithm and Programming): Composition Analyzer

A composition analyzer is an analysis tool used by English teachers to generate statistical information about English compositions written by students. Imagine you are a programmer. You are going to develop a composition analyzer to evaluate the quality of English compositions. Some examples of statistical functions of the composition analyzer are shown below:

  • Frequencies of letters
  • Frequency of a given word/expression
  • Total number of words
  • Total number of paragraphs

Candidates are required to write a program to implement the composition analyzer with not more than five statistical functions. The coursework should:

  • Define the input plain text format
  • Set up samples of English compositions for program testing
  • Design the output analysis report

Candidates should justify the use of any data structures and algorithms in the implementation.

Module B (Organisation of Computer): Computer Input Devices

(1) Candidates are required to conduct a comprehensive study on the development of computer input devices. Candidates should outline the characteristics of different types of input devices, the advantages and limitations of each type of device, and their impact on users. Candidates may confine their discussion to three different types of input device technology.

(2) Candidates are required to propose a new input device or an improvement to an existing input device and discuss the needs and advantages of the proposed device.

Suggested time allocations for Part (1) and Part (2) are 75% and 25% respectively.

Module C (Data Communications and Networking): Computers and Network Services on Open Day

A school is planning to have a School Open Day. All classes have their exhibition booths all over the school including the corridors, halls and playgrounds. Computers and network services are required in order to access the Internet and school servers so as to help with demonstrations and presentations.

The following issues may need to be considered:

  • Integration of the school network and the temporary network for the School Open Day
  • User identity authentication and information security
  • Method(s) of network connection
  • Ease of network setup and connection
  • Costing
  • Network connection speed
  • Special network requirements

Candidates are required to design a network environment for the School Open Day. Documents such as clear user instructions, simple fault diagnostic flow charts, system acceptance checklists etc. could be included, if appropriate.

Module D (Multimedia Production and Web Authoring): School Information Feeding System

Suppose your school is restructuring its web site. The school would like to have specific pages where frequently updated information is given. The information may include school announcements, schedules of extracurricular activities, open contests that students may participate in, etc. Each category may have different target audiences including staff, students, parents, or even the general public.

(1) Candidates are required to propose two desirable solutions for implementing the above task. The proposed solutions should aim at facilitating efficient information seeking. Candidates should analyze and compare the two solutions in terms of the mechanisms of information dissemination, the web technology involved and the functions available to the users.

(2) Candidates are required to design and create the layouts of the web pages to illustrate how a user may seek information from the pages for one of the proposed solutions in Part (1).

Suggested time allocations for Part (1) and Part (2) are 40% and 60% respectively.

單元A(算法與程序編寫):文章分析器

「文章分析器」乃一協助英語教師分析學生英文作文的工具,教師只須在「文章分析器」內輸入有關文章,系統便會顯示有關該文章的統計資料。 假設你是程式編寫員,現負責開發一個「文章分析器」程式,以評估英文作文的質素,以下是一些文章分析器統計功能的例子:

  • 英文字母在文章內出現的次數
  • 某指定英文字或詞句在文章內出現的次數
  • 文章總字數
  • 文章總段落數目

考生須編寫一個包括不多於五個統計功能的「文章分析器」電腦程式。個人習作內須:

  • 設定輸入文字的格式
  • 設英文文章範例作程式測試
  • 設計分析報告的輸出

考生須詳解其選用有關數據結構和算法的理由。

單元B(電腦的組織)︰電腦輸入裝置

(1) 考生須就電腦輸入裝置進行一廣泛研究。考生須概述不同類型輸入裝置的特色、各類裝置的優點及限制,以及對使用者的影響。考生可集中討論三類輸入裝置技術。

(2) 考生須建議一種新的輸入裝置,或就現有的輸入裝置作出改善建議,並討論建議項目的需要性及優點。

建議完成 (1) 和 (2) 的時間分配分別為 75% 和 25% 。

單元C(數據通訊及建網)︰學校開放日網絡服務

某中學正籌劃學校開放日,所有班別均會在學校不同地方,如走廊,禮堂及操場設置展覽攤位。學校須提供電腦及網絡服務,以便同學們可在其展覽攤位內使用互聯網及存取學校伺服器的資料作展覽及演示之用。

以下為須予關注的事項︰

  • 學校既有網絡與開放日臨時網絡的整合
  • 使用者身分驗證及資訊保安
  • 網絡連接方法
  • 網絡建立與連接的方便程度
  • 成本
  • 網絡連線速度
  • 特別網絡服務要求

考生須為學校開放日設計一個網絡環境。考生可於適當地方加入清晰的用戶指引、故障分析流程簡圖、系統領受核對清單等文件。

單元D(多媒體製作及網頁編寫):學校資訊饋送系統

假設你的學校正在重新整理它的網站。校方希望建立特定網頁以發布須經常作更新的資訊,當中包括學校公告、課外活動日程、可供學生參與的公開比賽等等。各類資訊針對的對象可包括教師、學生、家長,甚至公眾。

(1) 考生須為實現上述任務構想兩個理想方案,以幫助用戶能有效率地獲取其所須資訊。考生須分析和比較兩個方案的資料發布機制、所須萬維網技術及可供用戶使用的功能。

(2) 考生須按照在 (1) 內提議的其中一個方案,設計及建立這些網頁的佈局,以展示用戶如何可從中獲取資訊。

建議完成 (1) 和 (2) 的時間分配分別為 40% 和 60% 。
